LaCAR is a company dedicated to transforming global public health through cutting-edge diagnostic solutions.
LaCAR mission is to improve global medical diagnostics with reliable, fast and automated solutions tailored to each laboratory, supporting them throught every step from samples to results.
Originally, LaCAR tracked projects manually across spreadsheets, emails, messaging tools, and slide decks, leaving teams without a unified view of timelines, risks, or dependencies. “We had no clear overview of our projects,” says Louise Debry, Project Management Officer at LaCAR. “As the organisation scaled, we lacked consolidated, reliable information to support decision-making, prioritisation, and meeting deadlines.” Teams often weren’t aligned during execution. “Sometimes products launched late, and the marketing team wasn’t aware a product was coming,” says Louise Debry. “As a result, we communicated with customers too late.” As priorities shifted in response to market demand, changes didn’t always reach operational staff in time—making it harder to adjust plans, reassign work, and deliver consistently.

LaCAR implemented a structured and transparent project flow in Smartsheet, supported by Digital Flows, creating a unified system that manages all project phases—from feasibility to product launch. The solution combines detailed project workspaces with a portfolio-level overview, automated notifications, risk‑tracking formulas, and a quarterly project scoring system to prioritise initiatives effectively.
This setup delivers full visibility into timelines, responsibilities, risks, and resource capacity. Teams immediately understand the impact of delays, adjust workloads intelligently, and make informed decisions about adding new projects to the pipeline.
Thanks to real‑time data, automated updates, and integrated collaboration via Microsoft Teams, meetings are now shorter and more efficient—cut nearly in half—freeing teams to focus on high‑value work instead of searching for information or building manual trackers.
Overall, the collaboration with Digital Flows enabled LaCAR to accelerate strategic initiatives, improve cross‑team alignment, optimise resource planning, and gain the operational speed needed to move projects forward faster
